About Me

Hi, I’m Kathy Knox, and I’m proud to call South Texas home and serve as a State Farm agent in El Campo, Texas. I grew up in Sinton, graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio, and spent much of my adult life in San Antonio raising my children and working in education.

Before joining State Farm in 2025, I spent 25 years in education as a teacher and instructional coach with a San Antonio school district and later with an educational publishing company. In that role, I provided professional development to educators throughout Texas and occasionally nationwide while helping school districts with curriculum selection and implementation.

Although my career has changed, I still consider myself an educator. Now the classroom looks a little different. I help customers understand insurance, risk management, and financial services so they can make confident decisions about protecting their assets and preparing for the future.

My husband, Robert Knox, ChFC®, is also a State Farm agent. Robert and I both provide insurance and financial services, giving us the opportunity to help customers look beyond an individual policy and consider their broader protection and financial goals. Our team assist customers with Home, Auto, Life, Health, Business Insurance, and Financial Services. Our approach is personal—we want to understand what you're working toward and develop a plan that reflects your individual situation.

Family is a huge part of my life. Robert and I have six children, a growing number of grandchildren (7 as of the end of 2026), and two furry pups who enjoy being outdoors as much as we do. I also enjoy working out and reading whenever I can find a quiet moment. Our family includes graduates of UT (Austin and San Antonio), Texas A&M (College Station and Corpus Christi), and Texas Tech, so we're definitely a house divided when game day arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How can I compare auto insurance quotes?

A: Getting car insurance quotes is simple—you can start online, over the phone, or by working with a local agent. Quotes are typically based on factors like your vehicle, driving history, and coverage preferences, helping you explore options that fit your needs. Kathy is here to help your El Campo household feel covered.

Q: How quickly can car insurance coverage start?

A: Car insurance coverage can often start the same day, depending on your situation. Looking for coverage? Talk with Kathy about your options in El Campo.

Q: What coverage is required when leasing a car?

A: Leased vehicles typically require more coverage than the state minimums. In addition to liability insurance, leasing companies usually require comprehensive and collision coverage, and you may need to list the leasing company on your policy as an additional insured or loss payee. Kathy is proud to serve the El Campo community.

Q: What's included in renters insurance coverage?

A: Renters insurance helps protect the things you own if something unexpected happens. It can help cover personal belongings if they're damaged or stolen, provide personal liability protection if someone is injured, and help with additional living expenses if you're unable to stay in your home due to a covered loss. Serving El Campo and the surrounding area, Kathy can help answer your questions.

Q: What is life insurance?

A: Life insurance helps provide financial support to your beneficiaries and can help cover expenses like debts, living costs, or future needs. For personalized coverage in El Campo, TX, reach out to Kathy.

Q: What does home insurance cover?

A: Homeowners insurance can help protect your home, your personal belongings, and your finances. It typically includes coverage for the structure of your home, your belongings, liability protection, and additional living expenses if your home becomes uninhabitable due to a covered loss. Have questions? Kathy in El Campo can walk you through your options.
