Hi, I’m Kathy Knox, and I’m proud to serve as your State Farm agent. Originally from Sinton, Texas, I am a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio. After high school, I moved to San Antonio, where I attended college and raised my four children, Jared, Rebecca, Breanna and Brooklyn.

Before joining State Farm in 2025, I spent 25 years in education—as a teacher and instructional coach with NEISD, and later with Pearson/Savvas Learning. In those roles, I provided professional development to educators across Texas and occasionally nationwide, while advising districts on curriculum selection and implementation.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and now State Farm offers a new way to educate—this time about risk management and financial services, which are vital to everyone’s well-being. My team and I are committed to equipping our community with the knowledge and tools to protect their assets and plan for the future.

We provide personalized guidance in Home, Auto, Life, Health, and Business Insurance, serving many Texas counties, including Calhoun, Jackson, Victoria, Matagorda, Aransas, San Patricio, Refugio, Goliad, Nueces, Travis, Harris, and Bexar. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I focus on developing comprehensive risk management plans tailored to your unique needs.

On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with family, working out, being outdoors with our two fury pups, and reading. My husband and I are blessed with six children, and we are enjoying the "empty nest". We definitely have a house divided, all of us are graduates of UT, A&M, and Tech. The five beautiful, energetic and perfect (of course) grandchildren keep us young at heart. We're excited to announce two additional grandsons arriving in November. “Honey” (grandmother) is my favorite title!

Please feel free to reach out to my office to discuss how I can help you achieve your goals. I look forward to the opportunity to assist you and support our local community.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How can I compare auto insurance quotes?

A: Getting car insurance quotes is simple—you can start online, over the phone, or by working with a local agent. Quotes are typically based on factors like your vehicle, driving history, and coverage preferences, helping you explore options that fit your needs. Kathy is here to help your El Campo household feel covered.

Q: How quickly can car insurance coverage start?

A: Car insurance coverage can often start the same day, depending on your situation. Looking for coverage? Talk with Kathy about your options in El Campo.

Q: What coverage is required when leasing a car?

A: Leased vehicles typically require more coverage than the state minimums. In addition to liability insurance, leasing companies usually require comprehensive and collision coverage, and you may need to list the leasing company on your policy as an additional insured or loss payee. Kathy is proud to serve the El Campo community.

Q: What's included in renters insurance coverage?

A: Renters insurance helps protect the things you own if something unexpected happens. It can help cover personal belongings if they're damaged or stolen, provide personal liability protection if someone is injured, and help with additional living expenses if you're unable to stay in your home due to a covered loss. Serving El Campo and the surrounding area, Kathy can help answer your questions.

Q: What is life insurance?

A: Life insurance helps provide financial support to your beneficiaries and can help cover expenses like debts, living costs, or future needs. For personalized coverage in El Campo, TX, reach out to Kathy.

Q: What does home insurance cover?

A: Homeowners insurance can help protect your home, your personal belongings, and your finances. It typically includes coverage for the structure of your home, your belongings, liability protection, and additional living expenses if your home becomes uninhabitable due to a covered loss. Have questions? Kathy in El Campo can walk you through your options.
